Headache is a very common complaint in the ED and like most presenting complaints we want you to be able to pick up the important, life threatening diagnoses of headache. You do NOT need to know the International Headache Association’s criteria for diagnosing different forms of cephalgia. You DO need to know when to worry about SAH.
