We will be discussing the Emergency Dept. management of blood born virus exposures which is a fairly common complaint. Patients are often extremely anxious, particularly about HIV.

There are excellent guidelines on patient centre and national guidelines called the EMI Toolkit which are easily accessible.

Have a read and then proceed to answer the questions. Or better yet, try answering the questions with the EMI Toolkit – see it as an open book test!
